About Us

You will find Samaritan Interfaith Counseling Center to be a safe and caring environment, staffed by highly trained, licensed and credentialed counselors.

The goals of counseling - to help you effect change and relieve pain and anxiety - can be met through mutual trust, respect, patience and hard work. The following will be helpful as you begin your journey of understanding, healing and personal growth.

Successful therapeutic relationships must be based on good communication. We encourage you to discuss any questions, problems or concerns you might have with your counselor.

Schedule An Appointment

Each counselor keeps his or her own schedule and arranges appointments directly. Counseling sessions, usually scheduled weekly, last about 50 minutes. Counseling appointments can be scheduled weekdays until 9:00 p.m., with some weekend appointments available. The Center’s Administrative Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays. During times when the Administrative Office is closed, you may leave a private voice mail message for your counselor who will return your call the next business day.

Missed Appointments

Samaritan’s policy is to charge your usual fee for appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Of course, extenuating circumstances may be discussed with your counselor at your next session.

Payment of Fees

Samaritan Interfaith has established fees for service which compare favorably with standard counseling fees in the community. Payment is expected at the time of service.

We will help you access reimbursement from your insurance company or managed care provider, where possible. (Please note that Managed Care plans involve direct clinical management by the provider company. This will impact confidentiality.)

Fee subsidy, based on income, expenses, dependents and extenuating circumstances, may be available upon request. Your counselor can help you with any questions you might have about fees.

In An Emergency...

If you experience a life-threatening emergency, please call 911. The Center has counselors on-call 24 hours a day. If you have an emergency that needs to be addressed outside of business hours, you can page the counselor-on-call by dialing (630) 357-2456 Extension 50. The counselor on-call will return your call as soon as possible.
